On\u00a017 May at 15:00, 2018,\u00a0<\/strong>Ms Margarita Hakobyan, Director of \u201cOxfam Armenia\u201d shall conduct the training on \u201cCSOs Public Policy Monitoring Experience: \u201cOxfam Armenia\u201d.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Civil society organizations (CSO) incubators are aimed at promoting CSO capacity building and enhancing efficiency of their activities.<\/p>\n

CSO incubators’ mission is to provide professional and technical assistance to Armenian CSOs to develop their capacities in 9 target sectors and 4 thematic areas listed below:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Monitoring of Public Budgets and Policies;<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Development of Evidence based policies;<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Creation and\/or Development of Coalition,<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Constructive participation\/dialogue with the government and local self-governance bodies in public policy development the process.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The 9 target areas of the project are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Public Finance Management<\/em><\/li>\n
    2. Human Rights:\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n
    3. Justice<\/em><\/li>\n
    4. Business<\/em><\/li>\n
    5. Education<\/em><\/li>\n
    6. Agriculture<\/em><\/li>\n
    7. Economy<\/em><\/li>\n
    8. Energy\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n
    9. Social sphere:\u00a0Social inclusion of children with disabilities\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      CSO incubators will be held in two stages in the following five cities:\u00a0Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Gavar and Kapan. 36 CSOs, which will be selected, from the CSOs that completed the training organised by the American University of Armenia will participate in each phase.\u00a0Upon completion of the CSO incubators, a total of 33 grants will be provided on a competitive basis. It is planned to provide 16-17 grants in each stage.<\/p>\n

      CSOs of Tavush Marz will attend the incubator in Vanadzor; Aragatsotn CSOs, based on their geographical location, will participate in the incubators in Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor cities, and Vayots Dzor CSOs, based on their geographical location, will attend the incubators in Kapan or Yerevan.<\/p>\n
