{"id":2357,"date":"2018-05-17T18:30:55","date_gmt":"2018-05-17T14:30:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/?p=2357"},"modified":"2018-08-31T09:48:21","modified_gmt":"2018-08-31T05:48:21","slug":"successful-csos-public-policy-monitoring-experience-was-introduced-to-the-participants-of-cso-incubators","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/2357.html","title":{"rendered":"Successful CSOs Public Policy Monitoring Experience was introduced to the Participants of CSO Incubators"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On 17 May, Director of \u201cOxfam in Armenia Ms Margarita Hakobyan conducted the 3rd training on \u201cCSOs&#8217; Public Policy Monitoring Experience\u201d for the participants of CSO Incubator in Yerevan in the scope of the EU-funded \u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d Project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">She replied to participants&#8217; questions on how to write a monitoring plan, how to draft the project budget, conduct fundraising and how to register positive results in the course of the project and after its implementation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ms Nelly Grigoryan, representative of \u201cCivic Initiatives Platform\u201d\u00a0NGO noted the importance of providing practical knowledge during the training in CSO incubators. \u201cExchange of experience is of great importance;\u2019 sometimes they seem to be trifles, but serious issues hidden in them are just coming out during the exchange of experience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8220;We are a new organization and we need such meetings.\u00a0They are also effective because you meet representatives from other organizations with whom you can find ways to collaborate.\u00a0The idea of \u200b\u200bincubators is good, we have great hopes to record results,&#8221; Ms Karine Davtyan, founder of the \u201cWomen&#8217;s Rights House\u201d NGO in Gyumri said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">CSO incubators\u2019 mission is to provide professional and technical assistance to Armenian CSOs to develop their capacities in 9 target sectors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The \u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a Consortium of civil society organisations, which are the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association (lead organisation), Agora Central Europe (NGO based in the Czech Republic), the Armenian Centre for Democratic Education-CIVITAS, the International Centre for Human Development, the SME Cooperation Association and the Union of Communities of Armenia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The project aims to enhance the influence of civil society organisations (CSOs) and CSO coalitions\/networks on public policies in Armenia. This will allow organisations that are already working in sectoral coalitions to access additional resources, new groups of civil society experts to come together and encourage place their causes on the local and national policy agenda, to identify common concerns and priorities and approach government bodies with constructive and strategic policy engagement initiatives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Within the framework of the project, trainings will be organised for CSOs operating in 9 targeted areas, including\u00a0\u00a0monitoring of allocations of the state budget and policy implementation, identifying key issues for public policy development, including analysis and elaboration of public policies, coalition building and policymaking strategies, interaction with central authorities and partners in local self-governance bodies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 17 May, Director of \u201cOxfam in Armenia Ms Margarita Hakobyan conducted the 3rd training on \u201cCSOs&#8217; Public Policy Monitoring Experience\u201d for the participants of CSO Incubator in Yerevan in the scope of the EU-funded \u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d Project.
