{"id":2551,"date":"2018-06-13T17:01:59","date_gmt":"2018-06-13T13:01:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/?p=2551"},"modified":"2018-08-31T11:04:05","modified_gmt":"2018-08-31T07:04:05","slug":"the-ministry-of-energy-infrastructure-will-support-the-implementation-of-the-cso-initiated-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/2551.html","title":{"rendered":"The Ministry of Energy Infrastructures will support the Implementation of the CSO-initiated Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On June 13, Mr. Artashes Kirakosyan, Head of the Staff of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures\u00a0and Natural Resources of Armenia, met with the representatives of the EU-funded &#8220;Commitment to Constructive Dialogue&#8221; project and the representatives of the Coalition \u201cCSOs for Sustainable and Transparent Energy Development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ms Susanne Soghomonyan, the Coordinator of the Government-Civil Society Dialogue of the CCD project, presented the project &#8220;CSOs for a sustainable and transparent energy development,&#8221; which is aimed to implement the following:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Action 1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Monitoring and improvement of the\u00a0energy efficiency and climate change mitigation and\u00a0adaptation initiatives of\u00a0LSGs;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Development of Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Programs (SECCP) format,<\/li>\n<li>Development of SECCP automated computing and analytical package;<\/li>\n<li>Creation of Unified accountability and monitoring electronic, online platform,<\/li>\n<li>Arranging the online platform and organizing data entry and collection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Action 2.\u00a0Developing and\/or improving and promoting public policies based on the<br \/>\nbest practices of regulations and regulatory measures to ensure energy\u00a0efficiency and renewable\u00a0energy development in the\u00a0procurement process of local self-government.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Formation of a working group with\u00a0competent authorities, private sector, local self-government bodies and experts\u00a0,<\/li>\n<li>Conducting\u00a0joint\u00a0discussions\u00a0with competent authorities, private sector, local governments and experts,<\/li>\n<li>Developing a legislative reform package with the involvement of\u00a0relevant experts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Action 3.\u00a0Enhancing participation of women&#8217;s groups in the\u00a0control and monitoring of community activities in the\u00a0field of energy efficiency, sustainable energy and climate change,<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Study and invitation to involve women experts in monitoring activities;<\/li>\n<li>Implementation of\u00a0training and capacity-building training\u00a0programs\u00a0for women experts,<\/li>\n<li>Developing a database of women experts,<\/li>\n<li>Supplement the monitoring platform by women experts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Artashes Kirakosyan stated that they are ready to form a working group and have direct meetings, discussions, and support the implementation of the project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>The \u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d project<\/em>\u00a0is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a Consortium of civil society organisations, which are the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association (lead organisation), Agora Central Europe (NGO based in the Czech Republic), the Armenian Centre for Democratic Education-CIVITAS, the International Centre for Human Development, the SME Cooperation Association and the Union of Communities of Armenia. The project is funded by the European Union and launched on 15 December, 2016.
