{"id":3006,"date":"2018-07-30T20:14:26","date_gmt":"2018-07-30T16:14:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/?p=3006"},"modified":"2018-08-31T15:50:24","modified_gmt":"2018-08-31T11:50:24","slug":"challenges-and-development-prospects-of-the-local-governance-sector-were-presented-to-gyumri-cso-incubator-participants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/3006.html","title":{"rendered":"Challenges and Development Prospects of the Local Governance Sector Were Presented to Gyumri CSO Incubator Participants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">On\u00a0<strong>July 30th,\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0a lecture titled\u00a0<em>\u201cThe Systems of Territorial Administration and Local Government in the Light of the Changed Constitution: Existing Challenges, Development Prospects\u201d\u00a0<\/em>was held in the Gyumri CSO incubator in the scope of the \u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d project<em>.\u00a0<\/em>The lecture was followed by provision of personal advice to the Gyumri incubator CSOs working in the fields of local government\/economy, energy, justice, human rights, public finance management, and other fields not included in the 9 project target sectors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">The training was delivered by\u00a0<em>Emin Yeritsyan,\u00a0<\/em>the President of the Union of Communities of Armenia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">12 CSOs from the Gyumri incubator (both 1st and 2nd stages) participated in the event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">CSO incubators are aimed at contributing to CSO capacity building and enhancing productivity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">The <em><strong>\u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d<\/strong><\/em> project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a consortium of civil society organizations, which are the \u201cArmenian Lawyers\u2019 Association\u201d NGO, Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), the &#8220;Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS&#8221; NGO, the \u201cInternational Center for Human Development\u201d Public Organization, the &#8220;SME Cooperation Association&#8221; NGO and the Union of Communities of Armenia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">The overall objective of the project is to enhance the influence of CSOs and their coalitions on the public policy process. This will enable the organisations (those that already work in target coalitions)\u00a0to gain new resources, unite civil society experts and encourage their participation in the formation of local and national policy agenda, identify common issues and priorities and go to the government with constructive and strategic policy initiatives.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">In the scope of the project sub-grants are\/will be allocated to CSOs and CSO coalitions.
