On 8 August 2018, a working meeting with\u00a0representatives of\u00a0CSO members of the Coalition for Equal Rights was held at the central office of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association. This coalition is implementing the \u201cHuman Rights: Monitoring and Publicity\u201d project in the scope of the sub-grant allocated by the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project funded by the European Union.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The goal of the meeting was to discuss the implementation process, successes, and difficulties of the sub-grant project.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

President of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association Karen Zadoyan, the respective project specialists and representatives from the \u201cJournalists for Human Rights\u201d NGO, the \u201cHuman Rights Power\u201d NGO, and the \u201cEqual Rights, Equal Opportunities\u201d NGO for Disabled Persons were present at the meeting.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The project events and the steps and approaches to ensure the high efficiency of their implementation\u00a0were touched upon during the discussion with the\u00a0responsible organisations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The participants evaluated the working meeting as efficient. It was decided that similar meetings would be organised on a regular basis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d<\/strong> project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a consortium of civil society organizations, which are the \u201cArmenian Lawyers\u2019 Association\u201d NGO, Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), the \u201cArmenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS\u201d NGO, the \u201cInternational Center for Human Development\u201d Public Organization, the \u201cSME Cooperation Association\u201d NGO and the Union of Communities of Armenia.<\/span><\/p>\n

The overall objective of the project is to enhance the influence of CSOs and their coalitions (networks) on the public policy process. This will enable the organizations (that already work in target coalitions) to gain new resources, unite civil society experts and encourage them to participate in the formation of local and national policy agenda, identify the common problems and priorities and to apply to the government with constructive and strategic policy initiatives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the scope of the project, sub-grants will be allocated to CSOs and CSO coalitions, aiming at public policy development and achieving tangible results in the\u00a09 target sectors:<\/strong>\u00a0justice, human rights, public finance management, business, education, social sector: social inclusion of children with disabilities, agriculture, economy, energy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
