{"id":3679,"date":"2018-11-20T19:31:39","date_gmt":"2018-11-20T15:31:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/?p=3679"},"modified":"2018-11-21T15:38:19","modified_gmt":"2018-11-21T11:38:19","slug":"the-working-meeting-of-the-support-for-probation-national-network-was-held","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/3679.html","title":{"rendered":"The Working Meeting of the \u201cSupport for Probation\u201d National Network was held"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On 20 November, the \u201cCivil Society Institute\u201d NGO hosted\u00a0the working meeting of the \u201cSupport for Probation\u201d National Network created in the scope of the \u201cStep towards Just Armenia\u201d project implemented in the framework of the EU funded \u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d Project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Representatives of the \u201cCivil Society Institute\u201d, \u201cAstghatsolk\u201d, \u201cFamily and Community\u201d \u201cChildren\u2019s Association of Armenia\u201d and \u201cSocial Justice\u201d CSOs, as well as ALA\u2019s Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Narine Melkumyan and Fundraising Coordinator Eduard Manukyan, who provided the draft fundraising plan for the Network and consultancy, attended the working meeting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">During the meeting, the probation-related situation in the country, the main trends and future plans of the network\u2019s strategy, the problems that currently exist in the probation service, the actions planned under the \u201cStep towards Just Armenia\u201d Project were discussed. The need to develop clear criteria for early release and the need to introduce a clear accountability mechanism in the Probation Service and the issue of the probation service was highlighted as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The participants of the \u201cSupport for Probation\u201d National Network meeting considered it effective, on the assumption of the fact that during the meeting they discussed the future plans of the network as well as the implementation process of \u201cStep towards Just Armenia\u201d Project and the terms of the planned actions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The\u00a0<strong>\u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a consortium of civil society organizations, which are the \u201cArmenian Lawyers\u2019 Association\u201d NGO, Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), the \u201cArmenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS\u201d NGO, the \u201cInternational Center for Human Development\u201d Public Organization, the \u201cSME Cooperation Association\u201d NGO and the Union of Communities of Armenia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The overall objective of the project is to enhance the influence of CSOs and their coalitions (networks) on the public policy process. This will enable the organizations (that already work in target coalitions) to gain new resources, unite civil society experts and encourage them to participate in the formation of local and national policy agenda, identify the common problems and priorities and to apply to the government with constructive and strategic policy initiatives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In the scope of the project, sub-grants have been provided to CSOs and CSO coalitions, aiming at public policy development and achieving tangible results in the\u00a0<strong>9 target sectors:<\/strong>\u00a0justice, human rights, public finance management, business, education, social sector: social inclusion of children with disabilities, agriculture, economy, energy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 20 November, the \u201cCivil Society Institute\u201d NGO hosted\u00a0the working meeting of the \u201cSupport for Probation\u201d National Network created in the scope of the \u201cStep towards Just Armenia\u201d project implemented in the framework of the EU funded \u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d Project.
