However, these are not all problems in the environmental sector yet. The mining sector, which has a negative impact on public health, is a key area as well.<\/p>\n
Here the public has to establish a dialogue with government as well as with the private sector, in this case with the mining companies to solve problems.<\/p>\n
At present, there is no clear policy on environment in Armenia. In other words, what is the mission, from which other processes stem? The experts meant just that.<\/p>\n
The issue of assessment of the impact on the environment and human health, which exists in the mining sector, is no less important. \u201cWe shall have the problem, unless this methodology and standards are not introduced in our country. Naturally, we cannot solve problems unless we know how the object, project or policy impacts on human health,\u201d the experts said.<\/p>\n
In order to form a joint approach for resolving this and other projects a meeting of the focus group of Environmental Education Network took place today.<\/p>\n
The meeting was organized in the scope of \u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d Project. Mr. Alexander Shagafyan, President of the \u201cArmenian CIVITAS\u201d NGO, facilitated the meeting. He presented the objectives of the project and the process of its implementation.<\/p>\n
