{"id":3891,"date":"2019-01-01T15:35:02","date_gmt":"2019-01-01T11:35:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/?p=3891"},"modified":"2019-01-11T15:40:33","modified_gmt":"2019-01-11T11:40:33","slug":"recognition-of-open-youth-work-in-armenia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/3891.html","title":{"rendered":"Recognition of Open Youth Work in Armenia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Project Name:<\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cRecognition of Open Youth Work in Armenia\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Implementing Organisation: <\/strong>Gyumri \u201cYouth Initiative Centre\u201d NGO<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Project Duration:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>6 months (January 10, 2019 \u2013 July 10, 2019)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Project Budget:<\/strong>\u00a0 5,535.500 \u00a0AMD; funding requested from the \u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d project \u2013 4,950.000 AMD; Applicant\u2019s Contribution \u2013 585,000 AMD<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Youth is the basis for societal development, therefore the steps towards revealing and developing the potential of the youth are very important with regards to forming responsible and active citizens.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The overall objective of \u201cRecognition of Open Youth Work in Armenia\u201d is to assist to the institutional development of open youth work (herein and after OYW) in Armenia through promotion of local and international experience and improvement of public policy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The specific objectives of the project are:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>to study the international experience regarding OWY and the possibilities of its application in Armenia;<\/li>\n<li>to discuss with the stakeholders the necessity and opportunities for the implementation of OYW model in Armenia;<\/li>\n<li>to assist to the development of cross-sectoral and CSO-Government-Local-Self Governance cooperation on OYW development in Armenia;<\/li>\n<li>to discover the possible opportunities for membership in international networks and support the formation of local OYW network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In order to achieve the set objectives, following the overall logic of the project, the activities can be classified as follows<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><em>Data analysis activities, <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Opinion consolidation activities, which are <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Advocacy activities<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Networking activities<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Gyumri \u201cYouth Initiative Centre\u201d NGO (YIC) \u00a0has about 10 years of experience in this field and necessary human resources specialised expertise for the implementation of the \u201cRecognition of open youth work in Armenia\u201d project. YIC is involved in local and international networks, and has a big number of local and international partners.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In April 2018 YIC launched the first open youth centre in Armenia &#8211; the \u201cYouth House\u201d in cooperation with CRRC-Armenia and with the support of the European Union and Gyumri Municipality.
