The launch of the first stage of the Civil Society Organizations\u2019 (CSO) incubators in the framework of the EU-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project will be held simultaneously on\u00a0April 11 in Yerevan (11:00)<\/em><\/span>, Vanadzor\u00a0(12:00)<\/em><\/span>, Gavar (12:00)<\/em><\/span>, Gyumri\u00a0(12:00)<\/em><\/span> and Kapan\u00a0(12:00)<\/em><\/span> cities.<\/p>\n

Civil society organizations’ (CSO) incubators are aimed at promoting the capacity building of CSOs and enhancing their effectiveness.<\/p>\n

The mission of CSO incubators is to provide professional and technical support to Armenian CSOs so as to develop them in the 9 target sectors of the project, as well as in terms of the below mentioned 4 thematic capacities:<\/div>\n
1. Public budget and policy monitoring,\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n
2. Evidence based policy development,\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n
3. Coalition building and\/or development,\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n
4. Constructive participation\/dialogue with the Government and local government in the process of public policy development.<\/i><\/div>\n

The 9 project target sectors are:\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n

1. Public finance management,\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n
2. Human rights,\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n
3. Justice,
\n<\/i><\/div>\n
4. Business,\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n
5. Education,\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n
6. Agriculture,<\/i><\/div>\n
7. Economy,\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n
8. Energy,\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n
9. Social sector: social inclusion of children with disabilities.\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

CSO incubators will be implemented in two stages in the following five cities: Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Gavar and Kapan. In total, 36 CSOs will participate in each stage. These CSOs are selected among those that have completed the training organised at the American University of Armenia. After they complete CSO incubators, in total, 33 micro-grants will be allocated through competition, 16-17 grants at each stage.<\/p>\n

CSOs from the Tavush Region will have an opportunity to make use of the incubator located in Vanadzor, CSOs from the Aragatsotn Region will be able to benefit from the incubators located in Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor, in accordance with the CSOs\u2019 territorial location, and the CSOs located in Vayots Dzor will benefit from the incubators located in Kapan and in Yerevan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
