{"id":4935,"date":"2018-11-20T19:10:27","date_gmt":"2018-11-20T15:10:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/?p=4935"},"modified":"2019-04-25T14:58:52","modified_gmt":"2019-04-25T10:58:52","slug":"discussion-on-social-inclusion-obstacles-and-overcoming-them","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccd.armla.am\/en\/4935.html","title":{"rendered":"Discussion on Social Inclusion Obstacles and Overcoming Them"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">On 20 November 2018, a discussion on the topic &#8220;Social Inclusion Obstacles and Overcoming Them through the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">Universal Design Strategy&#8221; was held by the\u00a0&#8220;Armenian Center for\u00a0Democratic\u00a0Education-CIVITAS&#8221; non-governmental organisation<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0in the city of Vayk in the scope of the &#8220;Commitment to Constructive Dialogue&#8221; project funded by the European Union.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Khachik Gevorgyan, the Executive Director of the\u00a0Armenian Center for\u00a0Democratic\u00a0Education-CIVITAS and the Education and Related Sectors Coordinator of the &#8220;Commitment to Constructive Dialogue&#8221; project, gave a welcome speech at the event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Inclusiveness Expert Lilia Khachatryan presented the social inclusiveness obstacles to the discussion participants, including behavioural, administrative, architectural, project coordination issues.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">She also spoke about the Universal Design strategy which suggests 7 environment building principles, which can help overcome the above obstacles and ensure everyone&#8217;s participation, involvement and inclusion in the community.
