On 22 March, the 5th awareness seminar on the educational program aimed at developing the budget capacities of CSOs and Mass Media was held within the framework of the \u201cBudgets 4 Citizens\u201d Project at the Central Office of the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association.<\/p>\n

“Budgets for Citizens” Project Manager, ALA President Mr. Karen Zadoyan welcomed the participants for their presence and interest in the program<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the seminar, the participants got acquainted with the work done within the framework of the Project, in particular the newly created\u00a0budgets.am<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0platform for exchange of budget knowledge and its components.<\/p>\n

Further the Project manager introduced to the attention of participants the\u00a0educational program<\/a>\u00a0aimed at developing the skills of CSOs and Mass Media planned within the framework of the Project and presented its advantages, opportunities and results.<\/p>\n

After that Ms Karine Harutyunyan, Executive Director of the \u201cEconomic Development and Research Center\u201d, spoke in more detail about the budget component of the training program as well as about the importance of participation of the civil society in the discussions of budget applications and the need to make obvious changes in the field.<\/p>\n

CSO representatives welcomed the idea of \u200b\u200bthe program with great enthusiasm, highlighted its goals and voiced their concerns about the curriculum.<\/p>\n

Ms Varduhi Tovmasyan, Deputy Director of the \u201cHai Ka\u201d Social, Security and Development Public Organization and Ms Anahit Kostanyan, marketing specialist of the same organization, Ms Anahit Kosakyan, representative of \u201cReturn to Kashatagh\u201d NGO, Ms Irina Grigoryan, President of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Institute of Popular Diplomacy and Ms Kristine Israyelyan, representative of the same NGO, Ms Julietta Arustamyan, Executive Director of \u201cHarmony\u201d Shushi Women NGO and Ms Gayane Gevorgyan, representative of the same organization, Ms Margarita Karamyan, Executive Director of \u201cReturn to Dizak\u201d NGO, Ms Bela Shikaryan, President of \u201cInternational Society of Human Rights\u201d NGO, Ms Mariam Avagyan, President of \u201cKrunk\u201d Non-Governmental Organization for the Protection of the Rights of Artsakh Armenians, and Ms Nane Grigoryan, Project Director of the \u201cArmenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS\u201d NGO participated in the seminar<\/p>\n

CSOs and Mass Media interested in the budget training can\u00a0register\u00a0here\u00a0<\/a>until 31 March of this year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The \u201cBudgets 4 Citizens\u201d (B4C) action (8 December, 2022 \u2013 7 December, 2026) is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union by the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association, in cooperation with partners \u201cEconomic Development and Research Center\u201d (EDRC) NGO and \u201cAgora Central Europe\u201d NGO (Czech Republic).<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
