Sub-Grants Awareness Seminar in Armavir

The first phase of grants to civil society organisations’ (CSOs) coalitions (networks) to build or support the existing CSO Coalitions (Networks), ensuring their increased impact on public policy development, advocacy and public participation has been launched within the framework of the EU-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project. At this stage of the project, the first phase of sub-grants provided to the CSO Coalitions (Networks) is announced. The overall objective of it is to build and/or strengthen CSO coalitions (networks) in 9 target areas of the project – justice (1), human rights (2), public finance management (3), business (4), education (5), social sphere, social inclusion of children with disabilities (6), agriculture (7), economy (8), energy (9) participation in these processes in the above-mentioned sectors, and ensuring their increased impact on public policy development, advocacy and public participation in these processes.

In order to inform CSO about these grants opportunity, the program organises visits to different cities in Armenia.

On 18 April, 2018, at 11:00, Project representatives Miss Syuzanna Soghomonyan, and Mr. Carl Ulbricht, will conduct an awareness seminar in Armavir (68a, Shahumyan str., Office of Armavir development Centre Socio Economic NGO).

The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a Consortium of civil society organisations, which are the Armenian Lawyers’ Association (lead organisation), Agora Central Europe (NGO based in the Czech Republic), the Armenian Centre for Democratic Education-CIVITAS, the International Centre for Human Development, the SME Cooperation Association and the Union of Communities of Armenia. The project aims to enhance the influence of civil society organisations (CSOs) and CSO coalitions/networks on public policies in Armenia. This will allow organisations that are already working in sectoral coalitions to access additional resources, new groups of civil society experts to come together and encourage place their causes on the local and national policy agenda, to identify common concerns and priorities and approach government bodies with constructive and strategic policy engagement initiatives.
