Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
Location of employment: Yerevan
Job description: The “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO is implementing the European Union supported “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project , which was launched on 15 December 2016. The project duration is 34 months. The organisation is currently seeking for a qualified specialist to fill the vacant position of the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and evaluation of project activities, including review of the documents;
- Monitoring and evaluation of grants activities provided to the Coalition and CSOs under the Project;
- Developing a Monitoring and Evaluation Report on the grant projects provided to the Coalition and CSOs under the Project, indicating: the effectiveness of the sub-project, the impact on direct and indirect beneficiaries, partners;
- Monitoring and evaluation of CSO incubators’ activities,
- Compiling statistical data on the activities carried out within the project,
- Observe the extend of regulated character of the activities within the framework of the project;
- Monitoring of the planned and organised activities within the framework of the project,
- Developing Monitoring Indicators on Individual Action, Situation Analysis, Needs Assessment of the Project,
- Preparation of the interim and final monitoring and evaluation report of project;
- Preparation and provision of conclusions and professional consultations;
- Consideration of other necessary information during project implementation
- Carrying out other project activities.
For implementation of the above mentioned activities, the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist should conduct site visits and field meetings in Yerevan and in the regions, as well as individual meetings with the Project beneficiaries and partners.
Requirements:
- Higher education in the relevant field,
- 2 years of professional / work experience;
- Excellent knowledge of Armenian language, knowledge of English and Russian languages shall be considered as an advantage,
- Excellent knowledge of computer programs;
- Ability to work in team;
- Ability to work under pressure and workload.

About Project
One of the project objectives is to strengthen capacities and public monitoring mechanisms of CSOs working in 9 different sectors. Trainings for the development of CSOs’ capacities including: monitoring, evidence-based public policy analysis, developing of CSO-Government Dialogue, and creation of coalitions. In addition, CSO incubators will be created in strategically important areas of the marzes, which will conduct activities aimed at the strengthening of CSOs’ monitoring and policy-making capacities.
