On 29 May, the Grant Committee of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project completed the evaluation of applications for the improvement of public policies, advocacy and monitoring for CSO coalitions (networks) in 9 target areas within the framework of the Project.
Overall 29 consortiums had submitted grant applications. Nine presented projects were selected by the Grant Committee as winners of the competition.
On May 30, an information-works seminar on implementation of sub-grant projects and reporting was held within the framework of the project.
Mr. Artak Saribekyan, Deputy Project Manager of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project, Chairman of the Grant Committee, made a welcoming speech. He presented the priority obligations of the organisations in the upcoming months.
“BDO Armenia” CJSC will carry out the verification of the financial statements of the sub-grantees and financial control. “I would like all of us to work together in one way. We need to pay great attention to financial documents starting from the moment of signing the contract,” Mr. Samvel Danielyan, representative of the company noted. At the end of the project, all sub-grantee organisation will be audited by “Grant Thornton” CJSC, representative of the company Ms Meline Harutyunyan said.
Ms Susanne Soghomonyan, Coordinator of the Government-Civil Society Dialogue/Lawyer of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project, presented the project objectives and the requirement for the progress report of the projects. She also noted that CSO consortia will be provided with all necessary information materials.
Ms Narine Mezhlumyan, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project, mentioned that CSO coalitions should present reports on all events, participants and the number of participants as well as other information will be mentioned. The results of the trainings and seminars organized during the project will also be assessed.
Ms Alisa Chilingaryan, Media Campaign Specialist/Journalist presented to the attention of the participants the importance of media campaigns, disseminating information and publication of the materials that promote the accountability. All this will allow working transparently and visibly for everyone.
