For Quality and Accessible Inclusive Education and Social Support

The specific objectives of the project are:

• Study the implementation process and current situation of inclusive education in the targeted regions by identifying problems and main gaps;

• Conduct need assessment of the targeted community support centers, studying their needs, key areas of improvement,

• Develop a concept of social inclusion, support and cooperation;

• Conduct advocacy campaign in favor of concept investment,

• Establish a dialogue with the Government in support of the conceptual framework and participatory policy development.

Direct beneficiaries of the project are the children with special education needs and children with disabilities who are in need of various social, educational and rehabilitative services in 4 target regions, the total number of which is about 2200. They should not abstain from the quality services in their communities. And the indirect beneficiaries of the program are their families and communities.

·      There will be a comprehensive study of community-based support centers in four target regions focusing on their needs, the main focus areas for improvement, which will be presented to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for improving policies and balanced regional development,

·      A concept of social inclusion, support and collaboration will be developed to be invested in 4 target regions in favor of quality and accessible services;

·      An inter-regional coalition website will be operated dealing with the problems of children with disabilities, which will allow the professionals to use online programs and resources, using online tools in their activities,

·      A culture of dialogue will be developed with the government to promote participatory policy-making.

Inclusive Education Monitoring in Armavir, Gegharkunik, Kotayk and Vayots Dzor Schools:

3.5 Developing a joint Concept with work teams on social inclusion, support and social cooperation, organizing 4 meetings

3.7 Organizing 2 meetings with the MLSA and MOES, presentation of the Concept, conduction of advocacy campaign in favor of its investment

3.8 Organization of the program closing conference, summarizing the results
