On 9 August 2018, a working meeting with the CSO representatives of the “Support for Probation” National Network was held at the central office of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association. This network is implementing the “Step towards Just Armenia” project in the scope of the sub-grant allocated by the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project funded by the European Union.
The goal of the meeting was to discuss the implementation process, successes, and challenges of the sub-grant project.
President of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association Karen Zadoyan, the respective project specialists and representatives from the “Civil Society Institute” NGO, the “Astghatsolk” NGO, and the “Against the Violation of Law” NGO were present at the meeting.
As one of the successes achieved in the scope of the project, the following were mentioned: the establishment of the “Support to Probation” National Network, the selection of the Governing Board of the latter, launching the online election of the Ethics Commission members, as well as the design and approval of the logo, rules of procedure, and ethics rules of the network.
The upcoming project events and the opportunities of their efficient and targeted implementation were discussed, too.
In the participants’ opinion, the working meeting was held quite efficiently. A mutual agreement was reached to organise such meetings on a regular basis.
