In the scope of the “Budget for All” sub-grant project implemented in the frames of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project funded by the European Union, on 20-28 August 2018 the Winnet Armenia Network of Women’s Resource Centers organised focus group discussions in 10 beneficiary communities (Meghri, Kapan, Goris, Tatev, Tegh, Sisian, Gorhayk, Areni, Gladzor, Berd). 2 focus group discussions were held with participants from local government, CSOs, SNCOs, and educational institutions in each community targeted by the project (to reveal public opinions, project impact, and for evaluation purposes). The meeting-discussions were organised by the local coordinators with active engagement of the community administrations.
Two meetings were held in each community with 8-14 participants. One of the groups had participants from community administrations, administrative leaders, city council members, community heads or deputy heads. The other group consisted of CSO representatives, active citizens, and employees of organisations reporting to communities. The purpose of the focus group discussions was the formation of community budget, raising awareness of expenditure sections, as well as situation assessment, including from the point of view of impact on gender and vulnerable groups.
