Discussion on the Business Ombudsman Draft Law with Participants from Civil Society

In the scope of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project funded by the European Union, on 26 October, a seminar-discussion entitled “Discussion of the Business Ombudsman Draft Law, Accessibility of Financial Resources in the Sectors of SME and Agriculture” was held in Kapan. 

Civil society organisations from the Syunik Region, including the participants from the Kapan CSO incubator, attended the event. 

Tigran Gasparyan, the Business and Related Sectors Coordinator of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project, delivered a seminar-lecture on the Business Ombudsman draft law, ombudsman’s powers, the complaints that are to be discussed by the ombudsman, as well as the expected results.  

Agricultural and credit advisers Anzhela Alexanyan and Artem Mkrtumov presented the advantages of credit resources in the agricultural sector. They also spoke about the types of credits subsidised by state programmes.  

The CSO representatives who participated in the meeting had an opportunity to ask the lecturers their questions on the topic discussed. 

The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a Consortium of civil society organisations, which are the Armenian Lawyers’ Association (lead organisation), Agora Central Europe (NGO based in the Czech Republic), the Armenian Centre for Democratic Education-CIVITAS, the International Centre for Human Development, the SME Cooperation Association and the Union of Communities of Armenia.
