On 6 November 2018, representatives of the “Civil Society Organisations for Sustainable and Transparent Energy Development” (EU4STED) project implemented in the scope of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project funded by the European Union had a meeting with RA First Deputy Minister of Finance Karen Brutyan.
At the beginning of the meeting, representative of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association Narine Mejlumyan presented the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project, its goal, sectors. Then representatives of the “Civil Society Organisations for Sustainable and Transparent Energy Development” (EU4STED) sub-grant project Astghine Pasoyan and Tamara Babayan presented to the deputy minister their sub-grant project, its objectives, the work already carried out in the scope of the project, as well as the goal and expectations of that meeting.
The discussion centred around the energy efficiency law, its flexibility, the gaps emerging during its application process, as well as the recommendations related to them.
By the end of the meeting, some agreements had been reached.
The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a consortium of civil society organizations, which are the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO, Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), the “Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS” NGO, the “International Center for Human Development” Public Organization, the “SME Cooperation Association” NGO and the Union of Communities of Armenia.
