Sisian Women’s Resource Center Foundation emphasises the importance of a constructive dialogue with government and local self-governing bodies (hereinafter local self-government) and the elaboration, improvement and advocacy as well as monitoring of evidence-based public policies.
The objective of the project is to contribute to the making realistic the implementation of the five-year program of Sisian community development with public participation. The five-year community development programs in most cases are formal documents, which are elaborated by the community administration and presented the approval of the Council of Elders. Taking into account that fact we plan to organize public discussions on the education, garbage removal and construction spheres of the five-year Program.
Five-year program provisions should be monitored (through surveys) to make it more feasible, and present the results of the survey to local self-government bodies, community CSOs and active residents.
