In the scope of this project of this project, attempts are made to change and improve public and community policy for the people who lost their land as a result of mining in the borderline villages of Aygehovit and Vazashen in the Ijevan region of Tavush marz, through the CSO-Local Government-Government cooperation. The expert group established by the project will include representatives of municipalities, governor’s office and civil society and will be led by an expert invited to the project to discuss the issues raised in this section and will elaborate draft government decisions on borderline zone, zoning and compensation for landowners and sent to the approval of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development and subsequently presented to the approval of the Government. The project also envisages selecting a group of people living on scarce land plots to conduct a full fledged training course on winemaking, preparing dried fruit as well as on local government legislation in the two communities mentioned above. At the end of the project, a Festival of Agricultural Products will be organised, which will be traditionally held in agreement and co-operation with the CSO-LSG-Marzpetaran, to promote the turism industry in the marz and mentioned above areas.
