Commitment to Constructive Dialogue

Representatives of CCD Sub-Grantee Coalitions Got Familiar with the Requested Report Forms

On 10 January 2018, in the scope of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project funded by the European Union, the Armenian Lawyers’ Association conducted a consulting seminar for the representatives of project sub-grantee coalitions. The seminar was dedicated to sub-grant project goals and requirements of project narrative  reports.

“BDO Armenia” CJSC is to receive financial reports from CCD sub-grant beneficiaries of the project and carry out their financial oversight. Representatives Ani Vardanyan and Astghik Shahgeldyan gave the participants information on financial reporting.
They explained to them what’s the reporting period for presenting financial reports, told about the expenses that need to be justified, etc. Business trips, daily allowances and overnight stay of CCD project staff members were mentioned as examples. It was noted that the daily allowances paid during business trips must be justified using business trip orders. Overnight stay expenses must be justified with a contract signed with the hotel and an account certificate, etc.
At the end of the project, the “Grand Thornton” CJSC will  carry out audit in all organisations. Company representative Meline Harutyunyan spoke about all the things that sub-grantees needed to pay attention to from day one.

Alisa Chilingaryan, the Media Campaign Specialist/Journalist of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project, gave a presentation on media campaigns, active dissemination of information and publication of accountability materials for the public. She said that all the project work and events must be presented to the public in a transparent manner, using news articles and various other publications.

Narine Mezhlumyan, the CCD Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, presented the order of preparing and submitting sub-grant project narrative reports, as well as the report format. She particularly stressed submission of justification materials attached to reports, said that brief descriptions of the main achievements/successes of the reporting period must include facts such as description of activities aimed at separate objectives, the successes achieved, the difficulties and solutions found.

The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a consortium of civil society organizations, which are the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO, Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), the “Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS” NGO, the “International Center for Human Development” Public Organization, the “SME Cooperation Association” NGO and the Union of Communities of Armenia.
