On 9 January, during the information seminar organised within the framework of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project, the representatives of the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” presented to the winners of the sub-grant competition the objectives of the sub-grant program, as well as the requirements for the progress and financial reporting.
At the beginning of the event, Mr. Artak Saribekyan, CCD Deputy Project Manager/Grants Coordinator delivered a welcoming speech. He presented the priority obligations of the organisations in the coming months, wishing them joint productive work.
Ms Narine Mezhlumyan, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist of the “Constructive to Constructive Dialogue” Project, presented the procedure for compiling and submitting sub-grant narrative reports, and the reporting formats. She particularly highlighted the presentation of supporting materials of the report.
“BDO Armenia” CJSC will receive the financial reporting and carry out financial control of the sub-grant beneficiaries. Representatives of the organisation Ani Vardanyan and Astghik Shahgeldyan provided the participants information about the financial reporting. They noted the fact that great attention should be paid to any financial documentation within the scope of the project and all that shall start from the moment of signing the contract.
In addition, all sub-grantee organisations should be audited at the end of the project. Grant Thornton CJSC will conduct the audit. Ms Meline Harutyunyan, representative of the auditor company, presented information on the audit that stage and the preparatory work that should be done by the grantees.
The coverage of the whole process transparently reflecting the mission and work of each organisation should be ensured throughout the CCD project. Ms Alisa Chilingaryan, the Media Campaign Specialist/Journalist of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project, presented the information dissemination process and publicising the materials about the sub-project
The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a consortium of civil society organisations, which are the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO, Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), the “Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS” NGO, the “International Center for Human Development” Public Organisation, the “SME Cooperation Association” NGO and the Union of Communities of Armenia.
