Commitment to Constructive Dialogue

The Gegharkunik Regional Administration Supports the “Edu-Logic” Equal Start” Project Implementation

On 28 February 2019, the representatives of the “Edu-Logic” Equal Start” project met with Head of the Gegharkunik Regional Administration Gnel Sanosyan and Head of the Education, Culture and Sport Department Karen Zazyan.

The “Edu-Logic” Equal Launch” project is implemented in the scope of a sub-grant allocated by the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project funded by the European Union.

Eleonora Begoyan, the President of the project implementer “Open Borders” NGO, and project expert Goharik Tigranyan presented the “Edu-Logic” Equal Launch” project, its goals and issues. The work carried out so far was presented, including detailed expert research work, the tools and methods selected, as well as the order of the future actions.

“In the implementation of the project we attach great importance to cooperation and joint work with state agencies, viewing the problem from different angles and discussing all approaches jointly. It was the organisation’s initiative to create a temporary consortium of non-governmental organisations which would ensure the strength of the project proposal. In order to start research in public schools in the frames of the project, we request your permission and support,” Ms. Begoyan said.

Head of the Regional Administration Gnel Sanosyan noted that the issue of ensuring quality education and harmonising it with contemporary requirements is in the centre of the country’s attention.

“We will show enough support to both the study conducted in schools within the project and providing space for organisation of a conference in the frames of the project,” Gnel Sanosyan said.

Mr. Zazyan added that the application of the organisation is currently being processed and that the permission to carry out research in the respective schools has been issued. In addition, the headmasters had received letters with requests to help carry out research without obstacles.

The “Open Borders” Institute of Peace, Democracy and Development NGO is implementing the “Edu-Logic” Equal Start” project within a subgrant allocated by the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project operated by a consortium led by the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” Non-Governmental Organisation, with the financial support of the European Union.
