In the frames of the “Alternative RA Taxation Systems Monitoring and Improvement Project” sub-grant project implemented under the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project funded by the European Union, from 6 March to 7 May 2019 the Association of Accountants of SME of Armenia made 10 regional visits, organising meetings and discussions with 375 business subjects in the communities of Hrazdan, Ejmiadzin, Artashat, Ashtarak, Vanadzor, Gyumri, Gavar, Dilijan, Kapan and Yeghegnadzor.

During the meetings, Project Manager Vahagn Hambardzumyan, the President of the “Association of Accountants of SME of Armenia” non-governmental organisation, presented to the business subjects information on the peculiarities of the current system of turnover tax, as well as the micro-entrepreneurship system foreseen in the Tax Code amendment draft, after which the possible issues emerging in the work in the turnover tax system and those foreseen in the micro-entrepreneurship system were discussed jointly.

The business subjects presented their recommendations, writing them down on previously designed sheets which will be analysed by Project experts, as a result of which a full package of recommendations will be developed for the solution of the existing issues and will be submitted to the relevant state agencies.

Leaders of different communities also took part in the meetings-discussions, attaching importance to implementation of such projects in regions and expressed willingness to cooperate with the “Association of Accountants of SME of Armenia” and always support organisation of similar events.

The project goal is to reveal through meetings-discussions those problems of business subjects which emerged during work in alternative tax systems, to find the needed solutions through discussions, to present them to the respective state agencies and aspire for efficient solutions to these problems.
