On 17 May, 2019, a focus group discussion with the employees of Tumanyan Territorial Agency of Social Assistance (TASA) was held within the framework of the “Multi-Stakeholder Social Protection’’ sub-grant project implemented in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project.
The objective of the discussion was to highlight the peculiarities of implementing the criteria provided by the RA Law on Social Assistance.
TASA staff highlighted the importance of the project implementation and made various proposals to overcome the challenges facing the sector.
It should also be noted that within the framework of the project, 20 home visits were conducted in the targeted communities, the needs of families were assessed, and in addition surveys were conducted among 200 residents to identify the level of awareness of the population on available social services.
The objective of the project is to promote mechanisms for identifying and addressing the social problems of children and families in difficult life situations and developing recommendations for improvement.
