On 13 June, the Gyumri “Youth Initiative Centre” NGO organized a meeting with Shirak Governor Mr. Tigran Petrosyan, within the framework of the “Recognition of Open Youth Work in Armenia” sub-grant project implemented in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project. The meeting was held in the building of Shirak Marz Administration.
Mr. Artur Najaryan, the president of YIC NGO, Ms Anna Yeghoyan, public policy expert, Ms Larisa Zhamkochyan, the “Recognition of Open Youth Work in Armenia” sub-grant project Assistant, Ms Anna Yeghoyan, public policy expert, and Ms Viktory Yeghoyan, Cordinator of the ALA Gyumri Office, Lawyer, Responsible for Gyumri Incubator attended the meeting as well.
Mr. Artur Najaryan, the president of YIC NGO, presented the study of the current situation and development of open youth work in Armenia, which was developed based on the results of its implementation and the recommendations package on the implementation of OYW model for presentation to the youth, education, employment and social affairs departments of the state, local and regional authorities. Tigran Petrosyan recommended to present the ideas and receive state support.
At the end of the meeting, the parties highlighted the meetings in such format within the framework of the project, assessing the importance and effectiveness of the program, and reached an agreement on mutual cooperation.
