On 25 June, “Sisian Women’s Resource Center” Foundation presented the results of “Community Development Program, Realistic” Sub-Grant project implemented within the framework of the EU-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project.
Active residents of Sisian community, representatives of CSOs, representatives of Sisian municipality attended the event.
Ms. Hasmik Aghayan, “Community Development Program, Realistic” Project Manager, thanked the participants of the meeting for the support and co-operation in realization of the project idea and participation in the event. She summarized the results of the project and the results achieved and the fact that the main objective of the project was to contribute to the realizing of the 5-year Sisian community development program by the public. The project manager mentioned that within the framework of the “Community Development Program, Realistic” sub-grant project, Sisian Women’s Resource Center and Sisian Municipality signed a bilateral memorandum, through which a package of proposals was submitted to the Sisian municipality, which will be taken into consideration during the public discussion of the 2019 Community Development Five-Year Plan.
Ms Lilit Harutyunyan, representative of Sisian municipality, made a welcoming speech and thanked the Sisian Women’s Resource Center for the effective implementation of the “Community Development Program, Realistic” Sub-Grant project in Sisian community within the framework of the sub-grant provided by the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project. She also presented the priorities of the Sisian community administration in 2019 and the issues to be solved, in particular,
- Irrigation Problems,
- Improvement of the City Park,
- Sisian Community Enlightenment Issues,
- Purchase of agricultural technique,
- Asphalting,
- Roof Improvement Issues
Vaché Baghdasaryan, Lawyer at the Kapan office of the Syunik regional branch of “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO, presented the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project launched by the European Union and implemented by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association NGO through a consortium of organisations. He thanked the Sisian Women’s Resource Center and the Sisian community for the achievements in the scope of the implemented project, as well as for effective and constructive dialogue within the framework of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project.
Further, Ms Christine Baghdasaryan, the President of Sisian Women’s Resource Center, presented the current programs and activities of the Foundation.
