The Results of the Sociological Survey of the “We are a Full Member” Project have been summed up

A meeting-discussion with representatives of various non-governmental organizations and kindergartens was held in the Town Hall and Chatham House formats within the framework of the “We Are a Full Member” sub-grant project implemented in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project

In the first part of the meeting, Mr. Zarine Hovhannisyan, Lawyer of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association and Mr. Gayane Balayan, “We Are Full Members” Project Manager, delivered a welcoming speech and presented the project objectives. After the presentation, Ms Ani Gabrielyan, who conducted the sociological research in the scope of the project, spoke about the results of the current research, unresolved issues facing children with disabilities and their parents.

Active discussions took place at the meeting:  the participants approved the package of proposals and expressed a great hope that the package of proposals would be adopted by the representatives of state administration.

Notably, the objective of the “We Are Full Members” project is to improve the activities of the community support centres (hereafter: Centres) operating in the Lori Region, suggesting efficient solutions to the problems revealed through monitoring and also paying attention to the accessibility and targeting of services for children with disabilities at these centres.

Similar meetings were held in Alaverdi and Stepanavan cities.

The program is being implemented by the Consortium of “Argina” Cultural NGO, “Intercommunity Cooperation for Rural Communities’ Development NGO.
