On 27 June, an agricultural products fair was held in Aygehovit village within the framework of the sub-grant project “New Opportunities for the Population Deprived from the Majority of Lands because of Mining”, which is implemented in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project,
The objective of the festival was to present and advertise agricultural and production opportunities of Aygehovit and Vazashen communities affected by hostilities in order to give a new impetus to the development of agriculture and rural tourism.
Mt. Ararat Gevorgyan, the Project Manager made opening remarks. Mr. Marat Atovmyan, representative of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project and Mr. Levon Grigoryan, the head of Aygehovit community delivered welcoming speeches.
In their individual speeches, leaders of community and regional structures, NGO representatives, appreciated the project.
After the demonstration of the activities implemented during the project, the guests made a tour in the pavilions. At the end, the representatives of Aygehovit and Ijevan dance and music groups performed concert․
Notably, the main goal of the project is to contribute to the development of the borderline Aygehovit and Vazashen communities, close to Ijevan, Tavush Region.
