Today, at the regional administration of Kotayk marz, Mr. Arnak Avetisyan, the Deputy Governor of Kotayk marz and Mr. Oleg Dulgaryan, the President of the “Community Mobilisation and Support Centre” NGO (CMSC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at identifying and solving the problems of children in difficult situations. The parties expressed readiness to cooperate to promote child protection mechanisms, access to community-based services, and improve the quality of such services for vulnerable children and their families.
The cooperation provided by the Memorandum will be implemented in the communities of Kotayk marz, particularly in Hrazdan city within the framework of the “Multi-Stakeholder Social Protection” project.
Welcoming the attendees, Arnak Avetisyan said that serious efforts are being made by the government and local government bodies on social sector reform and the involvement of social sector stakeholders, non-governmental organizations and that experience in these processes is extremely important. He wished productive work at all stages of the project implementation.
Oleg Dulgaryan, President of the “Community Mobilisation and Support Centre” NGO, noted that their objective was to contribute to the identification and resolution of social problems of children and families in difficult situations in Armenia.
The organisation will cooperate with the Department of Family, Women and Children’s Rights Protection of Kotayk regional Administration and the Social Support Territorial Agencies of Kotayk marz.
The “Multi-Stakeholder Social Protection” sub-grant project is implemented by the “Community Mobilisation and Support Centre” NGO in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project implemented by a consortium led by the “Armenian Lawyers Association”.
