On 30 August, 2019, the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia published on the e-draft.am unified website for publication of legal acts’ drafts, the “Draft Law on Amendments and Additions to the RA Law on NGOs” for public discussions.
The draft law, submitted to the public discussion by the SRC, mainly incorporated the recommendations discussed the regular session of the SRC-CSO Working Group on 17 June, 2019.
We would like to inform that at the meeting, the members of the working group discussed the “Draft Law on Amendments and Additions to the RA Law on NGOs” that was elaborated by the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO and was approved by the majority of the working group members.
The Armenian Lawyers’ Association has elaborated new proposals based on its recommendation that were not implemented in the Draft Law and posted on e-draft.am, which can be found here.
It is also worth mentioning that the SRC-CSO Working Group was established by the Order No. 93-A of 14 February, 2019, and the draft law submitted to the public discussion is the one obtained during the work of that working group. The working group was set up under the auspices of the European Union-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project.
