The Board of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association issued a statement today, on 20 May, stating:
“Yesterday, a part of the content of a draft document was published on the Internet, which refers to the delimitation of the borders of the Republic of Armenia. The authenticity of this information was confirmed at today’s sitting of the RA Government.
The Government of the Republic of Armenia is obliged to immediately publish the content of the draft document on the delimitation of the borders of the Republic of Armenia, and without the consent of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, not to sign documents on behalf of the Republic of Armenia that directly relate to and endanger the sovereignty, territorial integrity and physical security of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia.
The non-transparent, non-accountable, incorrect way of working adopted by the RA Government in the above-mentioned issues will not only deepen the distrust of the RA citizens towards the Government, will not prevent new violations of RA citizens’ rights, but will also create fertile ground for more gross mass violations of RA citizens’ rights.”
