Commitment to Constructive Dialogue

The 4th Focus Group Discussion on the Commitment “eCourt-Statistics Statistical Analysis Tool” was held

On 5 April, the 4th focus group discussion regarding the activities aimed at the aspects of digitization of the collection of the statistics, filling and management procedure as well as the existing gaps and problems in the scope of the commitment “eCourt-statistics statistical analysis tool”․

Representatives of the RA Ministry of Justice, the RA Prosecutor General’s Office, the RA Investigative Committee, the Corruption Prevention Commission, the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the RA NA, the RA Judicial Department, the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry, the RA Court of Cassation, the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, the RA Academy of Justice, the Chamber of Advocates of the RA, as well as from private organizations in the IT sector attended the focus group discussion.

At the beginning of the focus group discussion, Project Expert Ms Mariam Zadoyan introduced the summary of the “Multi-Faceted OGP Action: Open Justice & Anti-Corruption Commitments” Program ” and its main objectives.

Further, Ms Rubina Mkhitaryan, Coordinator of Separate Functions in Structural Units of the Ministry of Justice, presented to the attention of the participants the stage of the digitization process of collecting, filling and conducting statistics, the actions that have been taken so far and the planned actions to be implemented. She also considered cooperation with the leading IT sector organizations and specialists important in this process.

Then the question and answer session between the representatives of the public and private sector was held. In particular, questions regarding interoperability with the currently operating electronic systems, ways of reflecting data planned in the system, deadlines for actions, as well as ways of receiving data were discussed.

The focus group discussion was conducted by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association in partnership with the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia, within the framework of the European Union-funded “Multi-Faceted OGP Action: Open Justice & Anti-Corruption Commitments” Program, which is aimed at providing assistance to the Government in the implementation of two commitments under the OGP-Armenia National Action Plan 2022-2024: Establishment of E-Justice and Register of Gifts.
