Non-governmental organizations operating in Gegharkunik marz have also begun to actively work on harmonization of their statutes with legislative requirements. Ms Liana Makvetsyan, Lawyer of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project provides support to the representatives of all NGOs on reviewing of their statutes and registration in the state register.

Last week, Gavar-based “Decent Generation” and “Regional Business Center” NGO received certificates of registration from the State Register.
A few days ago, Liana Makvetsyan met with Hayk Abrahamyan, President of “Geghama Rescue Squad” NGO and Vahan Davtyan, President of “Geghama Youth Regional Association” NGO in Gavar Office of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association. They had applied with request to support to harmonize their statute provisions with the requirements of the New NGO Law of the RA.
Earlier these organizations had participated in the training on the new NGO Law organized in the scope of “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project.
The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO in cooperation with its partners; Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS, “International Center for Human Development” Public Organization, SME Cooperation Association and Union of Communities of Armenia.
