A 5-day training for mentors and regional incubators’ coordinators “Cooperation of Non-Profit Non-Governmental Organisations and the Government in the Czech Republic and the Republic of Poland” has started today in Aghveran.
The training is organized within the framework of the EU-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project.
In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Karen Zadoyan, President of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project Manager, highlighted the importance of exchanging international experience in such programs.
“In the scope of this project, incubators created in Yerevan and in four regions will strengthen capacity of the civil society organizations. The main directions are in four areas: public policy development and implementation, public monitoring, including monitoring of public budgets and policy, construction and development of coalitions, building a stable and constructive dialogue between the Government and CSOs,” Karen Zadoyan said.
Representatives of the Czech “Agora Central Europe” Organization, Monika Chrzczonowicz and Ivana Bursikova, introduced the procedure and methods of registration and operation of NGOs operating in Poland.
During the upcoming 5 days, the participants will hold discussions on the status, needs of the NGOs, the situation and the problems that exist in the field. The possible ways of cooperation between public administration and non-governmental organizations and a number of other issues will also be discussed.
It should be noted that trainings and free legal consultations are held in Yerevan, Shirak, Syunik, Lori and Gegharkunik regions are conducted in the scope of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project, which is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO in cooperation with its partners; Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS, “International Center for Human Development” Public Organization, SME Cooperation Association and Union of Communities of Armenia.
