The 7th group of CSOs’ Capacity Building Educational program is participating in the five day training at the American university of Armenia.
Ms Jemma Movsisyan, from Women’s Entrepreneurship Promotion and Empowerment Centre (WEPEC) NGO noted that participation in the training was a great experience. “We have already created a bridge, got acquainted with many interesting people, and we can build Coalitions in the future.”
It should be noted that the new educational program is organized in the framework of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project, which aims at making the voice of civil society heard at public discussions in Armenia and to develop sustainable and effective skills among the civil society in Armenia, to build a dialogue with government and local self-government bodies.
20 CSO representatives of from Yerevan, and 6 marzes of Armenia are involved in the 7th group.
According to Mr. Roma Gevorgyan, President of “Community Development Center NGO” from Syunik marz the knowledge gained during the training will be used by organizations in the future, and also to build coalitions to conduct joint activities. “Later, we will be able to apply the experience which has been accumulated and transmitted to us by trainer. And as a result of understanding this experience we shall be able to apply it in our organizations as well,” he said.
The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a Consortium of civil society organizations, which are the Armenian Lawyers’ Association (lead organization), Agora Central Europe (NGO based in the Czech Republic), the Armenian Centre for Democratic Education-CIVITAS, the International Centre for Human Development, the SME Cooperation Association and the Union of Communities of Armenia.
