Legislative amendments have recently been made to legal regulation of the activities of non-governmental organizations, in particular, in February, 2017, the new law “On Non-Governmental Organizations” was adopted (the law is available at https://www.arlis.am/documentview.aspx?docid=110802 ). Moreover, on 16 January, 2017, the National Assembly of the RA Armenia also passed other amendments in the second reading which were accepted completely.
For this reason, on April 11, at 11:30, the Armenian Lawyers’ Association will organise a training seminar on recent legal changes for non-governmental organisations in Syunik Marz. The procedure for reporting on NGO activities and the statutory audit will also be presented in the scope of the training.
Upon completion of the training, participating non-governmental organizations will have the opportunity to receive free legal counseling by law directly from the trainer, as well as receive assistance in bringing their legal documents in line with the current legislation.

The seminar-discussion is implemented in the scope of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” action is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a Consortium of civil society organisations, which are “Armenian Lawyers’ Association”, Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS, “International Center for Human Development” Public Organisation, SME Cooperation Association and Union of Communities of Armenia.
The overall objective of the project is to enhance the influence of CSOs on the public policy process, and the specific objectives are to strengthen the ability of CSOs to build coalitions and focus on constructive and strategic policy engagement with local and central government partners. The Project has a sub-granting component, under which grants will be provided to CSOs and CSO Coalitions. The Project has 9 target areas, including justice, education and business.
The training will take place on 11 April, 2018 at 11:00 in Kapan city (address: 1 A. Manukyan str., suite 72, Kapan).
Considering the limited number of places, from 15 to 20 organisations that would register first, will have opportunity to participate in the mentioned seminar-training.
