More Efficient Communication, through New Systems: Training on Two Topics held in Vanadzor

Artur Sukiasyan, Coordinator of Lori regional branch of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, presented the recent amendments to the RA Law on Non-Governmental Organizations. He also informed that NGOs under this law should also submit reports, and in addition NGOs should pass statutory audit as well.

Artur Sukiasyan said that henceforth NGOs can engage in entrepreneurial activity. He presented the peculiarities of this field to the attention of the participants.

Khahik Gevorgyan, Executive Director of the Armenian Center for Democratic Education (CIVITAS) presented the e-systems which NGOs can use to make NGO’s work faster and more visible than before and spoke about peculiarities for the management of MadMimi.com or MailChimp.com  e-mail addresses to send personal e-mails, as well as the skills necessary for delivering text messages through inbound marketing.

He also introduced the Appear.in system, which provides opportunity to quickly and easily make good quality video calls. The participants tested the system in place.

The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” action is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a Consortium of civil society organisations, which are “Armenian Lawyers’ Association”, Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS, “International Center for Human Development” Public Organisation, SME Cooperation Association and Union of Communities of Armenia.

The main objective of the Project is to enhance the influence of CSOs on the public policy process, and the specific objectives are to strengthen the ability of CSOs to build coalitions and to strengthen the ability of CSOs to focus on constructive and strategic policy engagement with local and central government partners. The project has 9 target areas including justice, education and business.
