On 22 May, a course on “Monitoring of Rural Green Economy and Clean Energy Initiatives and the issues for dissemination in schools” was held within the framework of the EU-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project in the scope of CSO Incubator in Kapan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the participants of the Incubator introduced themselves.
Further, Ms Tamara Babayan, Expert on Sustainable Energy explained what energy efficiency is, how the state regulation of energy efficiency is organized, how the public processes are conducted, and other related issues.
According to the expert, there are a number of problems in the field of public processes, including:
- Limited ecological standards for goods and services. Insufficient publicity, if any,
- The lack of coordinated experience sharing among local self-government bodies,
- Low awareness of ecologically clean products and services,
- The lack of political support,
- Limited information on product life cycle costs, as well as limited awareness on relative costs of ecologically clean products.
11 representatives of CSO incubators participated in the training.
Civil society organizations (CSO) incubators are aimed at promoting CSO capacity building and enhancing productivity.
