Training on introduction of a toolkit for monitoring of community-based services for people with disabilities was organized for the representatives of Gavar CSO incubator group of Gavar in the framework of the EU-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project.
Mr. Marat Atovmyan, Mentors’ Group Coordinator/Justice and Related Sectors Mentor of the Project presented the theme. He pointed out the main issues facing people with disabilities, including those related to the protection of their rights.
Marat Atovmyan also touched upon community-based services, noting that their development requires both political and social approaches that are provided in the policy of public service delivery, such as housing, education, affordable transportation, medical care and other necessary means for persons with disabilities.
It should be noted that 7 NGO representatives were present at the training, and six other participants participated in the training on-line.
The Civil Society Organizations (CSO) incubators are aimed at promoting CSO capacity building and enhancing their productivity.
