On 22 October, in the scope of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project funded by the European Union, a working meeting was held at the State Probation Service by the RA Ministry of Justice in the frames of the “Step towards Just Armenia” sub-grant project implemented by the “Support to Probation” national network.
The following persons participated in the meeting: Yevgenya Ivanova from the “Civil Society Institute” NGO, a sectoral expert from the USA, Arsen Navasardyan, the Head of the State Probation Service, and several employees from the Service.
Yevgenya Ivanova presented the risk and needs assessment e-tool that is to be used at the State Probation Service. She clarified the questions related to its application.
In her words, the development of this tool is a part of the analysis of the legislative regulations, best experience, and models applied in the system of the State Control Service, as it was foreseen in the project. It is expected that this will serve as a basis for the service to assess the needs and risks accurately.
In addition, the execution of this process will also be considered in the process of monitoring in the scope of the project.
During the meeting, Probation Service participants came up with various recommendations, too.
