“Astghatsolk” NGO of Sustainable Development Initiatives will implement the “ALDM* Public Funds for the Protection of Children’s Rights”in the RA Gegharkunik, Tavush and Lori marzes.
The project objective is to promote the development of a three-level child protection system in Armenia, in particular, the protection of children with disabilities at the community level. The main issues are: to raise public awareness on the results of the monitoring of the budgets of 3 regional and 6 local authorities and to develop the capacities of the National Platform for the Persons with Disabilities based on the implementation of the protection of human rights on national, regional and local level.
Monitoring of budgets of 3 regional administrations and 6 urban communities will be implemented in terms of corruption risks and efficiency.
The National Platform of Persons with Disabilities will participate in the implementation of the project.
The results of the monitoring will be carried out through graphic digital posters and short video clips on information campaigns among Armenian citizens using social networks.
Through involving the Platform and using the results of the budget analysis, a package of proposals for an effective and sustainable financing model for the protection of children with disabilities at the Community level will be developed. It will be discussed with the Local Self Government Bodies, CSOs, legislative and executive bodies and will be submitted to the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
A summarising forum of the project with the participation of CSOs, mass media and other interested parties will be organised the end of the project.
