Project Budget: 5,500,000 AMD; funding requested from the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project – 5,000,000 AMD; Applicant’s Contribution – 500,000 AMD
The main purpose and specific goals of the project:
MP: To contribute to the improvement of scholarships and financial support policies in Higher Education Institutions of the RA Syunik region through public monitoring and advocacy.
SG1: Identify current issues and corruption risks in scholarships and financial support policies in higher education institutions of Syunik marz by conducting participatory monitoring.
SG2: Contribute to the improvement of scholarships and financial support policies by promoting the implementation of new procedures.
Project Target Groups: The Governing Councils and lecturers of 3 higher educational institutions in Goris, Sisian, Kapan Communities: Goris State University/GSU, Sisian branch of ”Armenian National Agrarian University” Foundation and Kapan branch of “National Polytechnic University of Armenia” Foundation
Project Beneficiaries: 1274 students of Goris State University, 180 students of Sisian branch of ”Armenian National Agrarian University” Foundation and 406 students of Kapan branch of “National Polytechnic University of Armenia” Foundation
Expeted Results
- The key issues in the field of scholarships and financial support in higher education institutions have been revealed.
- New procedures for improving scholarships and financial support policies have been introduced in targeted institutions.
- Access to scholarships and financial support opportunities has increased.
