On 31 January, Gyumri hosted the presentation of “Improving the State Regional Business Strategy by Joint Partnership Efforts” Project. The project is implemented by “Efficient Governance and Community Development” and “Center for Community Initiatives and Campaigns” NGOs within the framework of the sub-grant provided in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project, implemented by the Consortium led by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association.
The Deputy Head of Current Control department of the Shirak Marz Department of the RA SRC Artur Galstyan, Head of Organizational and Control Department of the RA SRC, Loris Harutyunyan, Head of the Shirak Regional Development Programs, Tourism and Analysis Department Karen Badishyan, Director of SME DNC Foundation Shirak Branch Artur Zakaryan, Head of Gyumri Employment Center Amalya Adamyan participated in the event
Representatives of SME sector and civil society organizations in total 13 participants attended the meeting.
The representative of “Community Initiatives and Advocacy Center” NGO, Mariam Atorakalyan, “Improving the State Regional Business Strategy by Joint Partnership Efforts” Project Manager, presented the project, the work to be carried out within the framework of the project and expected results. She noted that it is aimed at improving business.
Loris Harutyunyan, Head of Organizational and Control Department of the RA SRC, highlighted the importance of the project and expressed readiness to cooperate “Efficient Governance and Community Development” and “Center for Community Initiatives and Campaigns” NGOs in the scope of the project. Loris Harutyunyan presented the measures of 2018 aimed at improving the business, presented the existing problems in the sphere and answered the questions of the participants
Further, Ms Amalia Adamyan, Head of Gyumri Employment Center, presented their projects in the business sector and issues of concern.
The parties highlighted organisation of the meetings in that format within the framework of the project, assessing the importance and effectiveness of the project, and reached an agreement on mutual cooperation.
