On April 12, 2019 at 14:00, a public discussion on free medical care and free medicines took place at the “Spitak Helsinki Group” Human Rights NGO’s office.
Arsen Mkrtchyan, Director Spitak Medical Center, was present at the meeting.
Ms Arev Petrosyan, “Healthy Body, in an Informed Mind” Project Manager, presented the main objective of the program and asked the meeting participants to ask their questions of their concern to Arsen Mkrtchyan.
The meeting participants were provided with information leaflets on the government’s free and privileged medical care framework, after which active discussions were held.
The director of the Medical Center presented the general procedure, how they can use the state order and how to protect their rights.
During the meeting the issues of quality of free medicines, the attitude of health care providers to patients and a number of other important issues related to the general healthcare were also discussed.
The project is implemented by the “Spitak Helsinki Group” Human Rights NGO within the framework of the Sub-Grant provided in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue Project” implemented by a Consortium of NGOs led by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association.
