On 25 May, the representatives of “Agate” Rights Defense Center for Women with Disabilities NGO held a meeting with Ms Zhanna Andreasyan, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, in the scope of the “Disability and RA Legislation” sub-grant project funded by the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project funded by the European Union.
Ms Amalya Adamyan, Head of Gyumri Employment Center, Lilit Gorginyan Head of Family and Children Department, NGO representatives and students also attended the meeting as well.
During the meeting, each participant presented the current issues in the sector and issues of their concern.
Ms Roza Avagyan, “Disability and RA Legislation” Project Manager presented the program, its purpose and sequence of actions, the problems of domestic violence against women with disabilities and the research that they implement.
At the end of the meeting, Deputy Minister Zhanna Andreasyan highlighted the meetings in such format and expressed readiness to assist in the effective implementation of the program.
