Commitment to Constructive Dialogue

The Final Session of “New SME Development Strategy for Armenia” Project was held

On 18 June, The Armenian Business Coalition organized the final closing session of the sub-grant “New SME Development Strategy for Armenia” Project, implemented in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project.

The Coalition members and staff, among them Mr. Hakob Avagyan, President of SME Cooperation Association, Mr. Gevorg Poghosyan, representative of the Business Assistance Office, Ms Satik Badeyan, President of the Association of Social Enterprises of Armenia, Mr. Gagik Vardanyan, the Secretary of the Armenian Business Coalition, representative of the Civic Development and Partnership Foundation, Ms Anahit Shahzadyan, representative Regional Business Center from Gavar, Mr. Hayk Harutyunyan, Advocate from  Shirak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ms Ruzanna Torozyan, representing “Winnet Armenia” Coalition, Ms Viktoria Yeghoyan, Coordinator of the ALA Gyumri Office, Lawyer, Responsible for incubators under the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project participated in the final session as well..

Gevorg Poghosyan and Hakob Avagyan made opening speeches. Hakob Avagyan briefly introduced the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project and the “New SME Development Strategy for Armenia” Sub-Grant Project implemented by the Coalition, its background, problems, obstacles and possible solutions and achievements, and expressed gratitude to the Armenian Lawyers’ Association and its president Mr. Zadoyan for the realization of such an idea and for effective cooperation. He also thanked the coalition members and the working team.

Ms Satik Badeyan spoke about the e-learning platform that was presented to the relevant ministry as a proposal for inclusion in the programs and testing in at least five schools as a non-essential subject. She also touched upon the report prepared within the framework of the project.

Gagik Vardanyan spoke about the establishment of the ABC. Hayk Harutyunyan and Anahit Shahzadyan talked about the difficulties, achievements and importance of the regional centers of business ombudsman.

Further Satik Badeyan and Gagik Vardanyan presented the future plans and activities. Hakob Avagyan concluded that the meeting and noted that as a result of the works implemented within the framework of the project, proposals were submitted to the relevant ministry, which will be included in the drafts.
