A conference in the framework of the “ALDM: Public Funds for the Protection of Children’s Rights” “Advancement of the Legal Model of Disability” project implemented in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project was held on 21 June. During the Conference issues related to child development services in difficult living conditions in RA marzes, statistics on children with disabilities and activities carried out by “Astghatsolk” NGO, aimed at solving financial sustainability of child development community models were discussed.
Mr. Artak Saribekyan, Deputy Project Manager/Grants Coordinator of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project, delivered a welcoming speech, presenting the CCD project. He welcomed the participants and mentioned the importance of the program, the work done and the results achieved.
During the conference, the three-level system of children’s rights protection in Armenia, policies implemented by the government and challenges at the community level were presented. At the same time, the results of the study of budgets of 3 regional administrations and 6 municipalities were presented.
Representatives of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, regional administrations, local self-governing bodies, the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue”, the National Platform of Persons with Disabilities, as well as the representatives of non-governmental organizations will be present at the conference.
