On 29 June, “Araza” Benevolent NGO organised the discussion of the monitoring report “Compensation of Employee Damages by Employer” aimed to evaluate the current state of the legislation. The discussion was organised within the framework of the sub-grant project “For the Protection of Labour Rights” implemented in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project.
Ms Tamara Abrahamyan, Project Manager, Mr. Nerses Aghababyan, lawyer, Ms Narine Mailyan,monitoring expert, Ms Marina Galstyan, director of the Center for Educational Research and Consulting, representatives of Trade Unions Confederation, Employers’ Union, and human rights NGOs were present at the presentation.
Within the framework of the project expert interviews and focus group discussions were conducted among public defender’s offices, trade unions, ombudsman, health and labor inspection bodies, human rights NGOs, as well as representatives of Human Rights Defenders, whose experiences based on their experiences and suggestions are crucial to disclosing the obstacles, to fair exercise of employee’s rights and ADR, the possibilities for effective implementation and operation of extrajudicial mechanism.
On the basis of the information gathered, a monitoring report on the conditions for the right to receive compensation from the employer for the damage caused during the work has been prepared.
